An important distinction: image vs. legal electronic signature

A digital signature image is artwork — a picture of your handwritten signature. It is not the same thing as a cryptographic digital signature or a qualified electronic signature under frameworks such as eIDAS or the Indian IT Act, which use certificates and keys to prove who signed a document and that it has not been altered. Use your signature image for design, branding, letterheads, internal documents and workflows where an image is accepted. Where a legally binding, verifiable electronic signature is required, use a certified e-signature service or a digital signature certificate. We can supply the artwork that such services display, but we do not issue certificates.
